Starting to look back at that Joe Rogan interview and realize that she was probably coercing Jack Dorsey during that whole conversation.
I know that might seem a little bit off but when I went back, Jack keeps reiterating to Tim Pool that he understands his issues with the censorship but they've done studies that showed it created the most inclusive environment and kept the maximum amount of engagement. I think they most likely lied to him and pushed him to believe the censorship was necessary to maximize their users and engagement and thus their profitability. Pool even brings it up and asks if they've dug deeper and Jack says they are continuing to study it and monitor but he starts to sound unsure.
Jack is a middle America small town raised kid who had some Libertarian philosophies and ideas and a kind of based worldview when he started out. They used that to put him into a job where he was obviously in over his head because he was convincing as a frontman for a while.
Talking to Tim Pool, he repeatedly identifies with his concerns and shows great understanding and respect. He says multiple times that he was dissatisfied about certain censorship actions and their results 'we got it wrong... we're trying to learn.' He acknowledged that the politics of Twitter's staff was having an influence on their enforcement of policy. I think a lot of this was snuck past him and when he spoke up his role was reduced to a figurehead who grew more and more frustrated with the lack of control he had within his own company.
I am now seeing it as somewhat similar to Glenn Greenwald's loss of control at The Intercept and I think part of Musk getting control like he now has was due to Dorsey's full endorsement of it.I think this might be a partial form of payback by Jack Dorsey for these jerks usurping control behind his back and pigeonholing him into a role where he was forced to be an apologist for actions taken by his company that he fundamentally didn't agree with. You're seeing something a little but simpatico as some Hollywood celebs start to have a little bravery and come out saying verboten things that they were previously forced into silence about.
Gadde for her part does NOT acknowledge Twitter's politics relating to censorship of the right at all during that sitdown. She glosses over every incident Pool brings up and as acts forcibly dense at times, like when they brought up Sargon of Akkad's strikes for statements which were obviously tongue-in-cheek. She oversells the seriousness of 'dog-piling' events and equates everything with threats of harm and violence and never relates censorious actions back to achieving maximum profits or inclusivity like Dorsey does.
She talks over him and seems eager to shut him down whenever he shows empathy towards Tim Pool's arguments. Every time Pool brings up an obvious hypocrisy or double-standard she clams up and 'needs to look into it' or denies any knowledge of it. She tries to morally justify every bullshit thing they've done.
In retrospect I can see the interplay in the relationship and how Dorsey was losing all his power and control over his company. I can see how this all came to a head after the Hunter Biden incident and I believe Dorsey was eager to get back at these people for pulling the rug out from under him and turning him and his company into a political monster.
So why is it important to mention Jack Dorsey's (potential) revenge? For the same reasons as Ye, Musk, Trump, Malone and others. They were insiders that have the knowledge on these people and how they work. Somewhere down the line they had pangs of conscience and realized their success and wealth was built on the continuation of a system built on lies, unfairness, hatred and rigging the game against average people. They decided on TRUTH over LIES and they can weaponize their schemes and tactics against the [DS] better than we can because they've got the know-how already and they have helped us do the same by sharing it with us.
The more this happens and the more people of note like this come to our team the more we can KNOW FOR SURE that we are winning the fight. They wouldn't be bleeding and losing people like Dorsey if they were. Unless they'd gotten so corrupt, dishonest and fucked up that people in these positions that still have a conscience couldn't stand it anymore.
This is a big part of what the 'Awakening' is that we're not always fully aware of; when the people who have done wrong without fully realizing it wake up to their own crimes, and work to fix them. Think of Saul who became Paul - God chooses us in many ways and this is one of them.
Just some thoughts about the genesis of our side's big win taking back control of Twitter.
Yeah, you're definitely right and I thought about mentioning that too. I watched something a while back detailing how Dorsey semi-thefted the building blocks and idea from a friend of his - sort of like the Zucker-WinkleVoss thing - so there's that.
But you're right, none of these got made without heavy involvement from [DS] and government - whether they were involved at the genesis or stepped in at the very early stages, which I guess isn't of much concern at this point.
What I was really driving at was that unlike Zuckerberg I don't feel that Dorsey is a Chinese cyborg hellbent on world takeover and annihilation and somewhat of a based dude put into an awful circumstance. Whatever leverage he had in news media and the surrounding discussion of Musk's buyout, although it was likely just ceremonial as you said, he did seem to try to use to help Musk get it done. So I give him some kudos for that much at least.

Believing Dorsey created twatter is the same as believing Zuckerborg created fakebook.

Yeah baby. Yku know the score. All big tech for the most part.
