That's a 25-day supply should the ongoing resupply of diesel stop. In other words if the faucet runs dry we have 25 days of diesel left in the system. That's why it's remaining at 25 days and not counting down yet.
From what I understand the supply is our reserve, not how much we have available. It's moreso our emergency amount in case the faucet stops: we'd only have 25 days worth. Otherwise supply chain for diesel is normal (for COVID/Biden times). Life would come to a SCREECHING halt if diesel ran out, as diesel literally runs our world.
Very true. Both our trucks and our railroads need diesel to keep going.
