Interesting take on it - and now all the libtard outrage starts to make more sense. Instead of a blue check being a priceless libtard "badge of honor" it becomes more of a useless, meaningless mark of shame... The whole concept of which is brilliant.
Now, tie it in with bots. Wouldn't it be nice if the ability to post to twatter required a subscription (people would still be able to read posts for free). Weeding out all the bot accounts is not easy - and there are reports that EM wants to make twatter profitable via advertising.
Wouldn't a subscription cost basically put most of the bot farms out of business? Also wondering how the new improved twatter fits in with TS... not really sure how that works. Always good to have competition, if nothing else.
Why would a subscription fee remove bots? Bots are already costing money to implement and operate. You think Liberal special interests like George Soros are going to close up shop because of a subscription fee?
Look at any MMO that costs a monthly subscription, there are bots everywhere advertising their things. Subscriptions don't dissuade bot activity.
Relating a subscription based MMO will go over a lot of heads, but you're right. Bots will do the job they're tasked, and then by the time one account is banned, five more has been made.
Also, this tends to be done via fraud, and the fees are possibly small enough that some elderly may not even notice it.

My botting activity used to pay for my monthly wow subscription so there’s that.
Bot farms are about controlling the information, some may be based on profiting though.
I'm still hoping Musk somehow merges TS with Shitter - or sells it to DWAC for one dollar. KEK
