"They" meant well - I saw that post. The idea was if you bring your phone the apps that track everything you do and everywhere you go can easily tell Big Tech that YOU went to a polling place and likely voted. Most people have all kinds of social media and other crap on their phones, and all of their posts are tracked - so Big Tech can probably guess 100% what political persuasion you are from your fakebook posts to your aunt.
It would be trivial to look at the conservatives stopping at polling places, count them, and know how many ballots they need to create to nullify your votes. IMO that idea to leave your phones at home is a sound one. Most people don't know what they are doing with trying to report wifi networks anyway. It could cause more harm than good if a bunch of people start going to the sheriff and reporting they saw some SSID.
Cyber people - use your laptop or a wifi analyzer, leave your phone at home, and go scan. If we want people to do something like this, we need them to actually know what they are looking for and what to report.
Some here on GAW. But I'm bringing mine with me. Sometimes you need to look up things on the ballot. And looks like a few people are checking the wifi situations at their polling places. Above someone pointed out maybe people are saying not to bring them, so we don't check for wifi connections.

it's psy ops to keep you from tracking wifi or taking pics/vids.
