Well, I didn't listen to the hype of the red wave. I have been saying since the 2020 election that this would keep happening.
People here kept saying to move on. Midterms. 2024. Next time. Vote so hard, they have to cheat harder, and then we'll catch them!
Except we caught them the first time, all over the country, and without people to hold them to account there is no justice.
I knew this was going to happen, and it hurts. I am pissed about the outcomes in Michigan. Prop 1/2/3 are awful, and plan or not there are massive consequences for allowing those to go through. Codifying on the state Constitution that abortions are legal and no accountability for them? Awful. Those kids could have been a Trump in 30 years, or the next Einstein in 60.
Potentially bright minds and faithful people will be snuffed out before getting their shot to leave a mark on this world and history.
I am unbelievably pissed. "Fraud vitiates everything" has not been tried on such a scale before, and certainly never to a state Constitution, and even more to the point that babies will die before that even gets a chance of being fixed.
But you get called a doomer for voicing dissatisfaction, for being angry, for believing that this time will be the same as last time. They try to ban you, get you tossed out like this is some collective where you have to narrowly believe that losses are wins or big brain chess moves or.. or...
But no, abortions being codified in a state Constitution, as well as all the other negative shit across the country, that stuff sticks around and is like lifting the world to snatch it from beneath it. Subtracting from any Constitution in this country is basically impossible.
I'm salty, and I am pissed, and I hurt for the loss of life and future life that is and would come.
People need to remember it's not just candidates that get voted on, but longstanding policy that lives beyond them. And it is absolutely worth being upset about.
Low information voters. All those props were worded so that non-thinking voters would conclude that they are good -- so they all passed.
First off, they change the Constitution, which is not something to be done hastily or lightly. Yet they were.
Prop 1 limits terms, but is really a handout to incumbents and lobbyists. Prop 2 secures voting, except it's full of loopholes that the legislator will not be able to close. Prop 3 is for reproductive health, unless you're in a womb, then it's death, and parents no longer have control of their children. The voters have created an incredibly frightening world for themselves and their children.

Amen brother/sister. Vacationed in the UP many times and just can’t figure out what is happening in Michigan. It’s went to the craps.
