The article here explains if you chose a Straight Party option all of the candidates in that party will be chosen for you. However, if you chose a Straight Party option you can also go down the ballot and chose a candidate of the opposite party for certain races and that will supersede the Straight Party option in that race.
Many people who are lazy choose the Straight party option and it leaves the ovals below open for election stealing, they then call it a split ticket.
There is no way to go online and look at your ballot after you put it in the machine. They could be changing votes on every Straight Party ballot and we would never know about it.

I always fill in each oval individually instead of voting straight party. I’ve never really thought about why but this is probably the reason subconsciously.

They will go back and change those Straight Party ballots, turn them in to split ticket ballots and vote themselves in.
Thats why the elections take a few days now.
Already happening. Where there were solid red leads a few hours ago, they have now magically turned blue.
