What was the proposal? Abortion without any limits?
Michigan approved an amendment that would specifically leave all rights of abortions, pregnancy, childbirth, and contraception to the woman. It looks like the state still is allowed to regulate fetal care after fetal viability, around 24 weeks.
Basically, not much different than before Roe v. Wade was overturned, but now it is enshrined in their state constitution.
While I think this is abhorrent, "states rights" is still better than having abortion legalized nationally.
Yup. Fix that inside your state. May take a few more years. The machine in michigan wont have the support they are used to pretty soon. .
People don't realize what it really is. They think they will lose their right to privacy that was found in Roe v Wade and then not be able to have sex. The job there is to shake them of those fears and explain what an abortion is.
Pretty much.
The job is then to explain to people what abortion really is and how it hurts them. I don't think people really know. Clay and Buck advertise a program that gives free sonograms to pregnant women. They say 80 % then choose life. It's like they don't really know what is going on. Also need to explain how this goes against a woman's natural maturnal instinct and the toll it thus takes on her mentally.
