When did he say this? Because it's been reported that the military basically told the people that there was nothing to see here and to pound sand. I hope the people keep up the pressure though.
I'm not sure if you mean the post I did, and it is indeed kinda what the report said, BUT
the report was never meant to be an audit of the latest electoral process, but an assessment of the system vulnerabilities (I updated the post to reflect this)
even though the report doesn't prove anything, it still leaves some doubt in the process, so, technically, military intervention is not completely out of the realm of possibility
I still don't think it's gonna happen though, but maybe that's just me being jaded.
I speak Portuguese and have friends there. I fully believe that the people will remain in the streets and will not give up. The news of the massive demonstrations is not being covered. There are some seriously large protests. The video footage is simply astounding.
Some Twitter hashtags are: #BrazilianSpring, #BrazilWasStolen, #AgoraOuNunca, #VemPraRua

I keep seeing conflicting statements.
This is a thick fog of war, and maybe it's because of the language barrier a lot of us have. We keep hearing it second or third or Googlehand.
