I don’t think many do. I tried explaining it to my parents and their eyes were crossed. It’s not that they didn’t believe me, but they just couldn’t understand.
I showed these graphs to a couple of people and it was shocking the amount of explanation they needed to grasp what I thought to be a more simplistic concept to grasp -- especially with the visual of the chart.
These probably should be distributed with a small blurb/ explanation on the spikes that always favor democrats. Or even pose a question about the spike to the reader -- like "q" style that would lead to an answer
Those are good ideas. I believe the only problem would be them having the mindset that they can’t figure it out. It would be good if we did do something that simplified it for them. Ugh, so many people have a mental block that’s hard to penetrate.
