I used to practically live on C130s. They are such a practical and reliable airframe that can endure the most harsh of runways. As long as there is an open field or something like that somewhere, then you're in and you're out. No jet engines, therefore rocks and dirt aren't a problem. Ive even seen one blow through a pack of wild dingo (didn't know weather to laugh or cry. Either way it was impressive!) There's almost nowhere the C130 can't go. And if you are a fan of G forces and roller coasters, then you will find low level flying and combat landings quite fun. Make sure your ears aren't clogged, because you will free fall several thousand feet before your rollercoaster begins. C-130s are awesome.
Me too...TOOK on into Cam Ranh Bay...STEEP NOSE DIVE AND THEN FLARES AT THE BOTTOM...NOTHING like the experience of getting that "tossed salad" feeling!!!!!!!
Looks like they are back on. Tankers now visible. 2 Doomsday planes up. Not normal. Usually TACAMO are done one ocean at a time.
Still not seeing P8 or Blackhawk activity. The Blackhawks I could excuse maybe for the vet day weekend. The P8s doesn’t seem logical. We should be seeing them. If we needed ASW surveillance for the last year in certain locations, it’s not logical that all of a sudden we wouldn’t.
Sigh I wish I knew what the hell is going on. I am out of good ideas to explain the oddities of this weekend.
