Dude it was like a bajillion years ago when they wrote that and totally didn't understand how hard it is to print ballots for people that didn't vote so elections could be stolen.like give them a break
Election day is the Tuesday after the first Monday in November. If the 1st is on Monday election day is the 2nd.
If like this year the first Monday is the 7th the election is on the 8th.
November 2nd is the earliest and November 8th is the latest that the elections can be.
I get it (and I agree) , but we’re dealing with language written long ago. Also, statement isn’t “next Tuesday”, it’s “The Tuesday next”…Trust me, your interpretation is much saucier’
Notice also it says "THE DAY for the election" and not days, weeks or months for the election?
Some modems work faster than others…

If the first Monday is the 7th and the next Tuesday is the 8th, this makes the 15th the what now?
Hmm. It does not simply say the Tuesday following the first Monday, it says the NEXT Tuesday which would be the 15th. IMO.
I don’t get it. 1st Monday = 11/07 (The “next Tuesday” (beyond the first Monday) IS 11/08…
When it’s Monday and you say “next Tuesday”, that usually means the Tuesday of the following week.

That's interesting.
