Yeah, that's why I referred to the hopium as a jetstream in another post.
The thought and feeling of the storm finally hitting and getting us out of this, or at least offering us a direct way out without all the powerlessness we currently have to go about things is intoxicating.
It makes us feel a false hope even when the source -- Trump -- has a track record of embellishing his words. Trump is a confident showman, and he knows how to get people to tune in.
Some people ran away with it, and with a false hope for something as big as freedom from the present and looming tyranny comes crushing depression when that freedom isn't provided.
I got labeled for "dooming" when I said to temper expectations. I got labeled for dooming when I say I told them so. I get labeled for dooming when I assign accountability to people who share as much of the blame for over hyping as the people who got overhyped.
The label isn't meaningful. It's over used for disagreement with a narrative. It's like "shill".
Big pitfall the left fell into was labeling everything they didn't like to socially outcast the ones they assigned it to. I'm not big on that.
Agreed. The doomer label has a tendency of getting thrown around quite liberally on this board. There's a difference between someone who has a consistent pattern of injecting pure negativity (often contrary to logical thinking) in order to spread misery and nihilism around them and people who are feeling tired, anxious, annoyed, whatever else as a result of the psy-war. People are allowed to have these feelings and just because they do doesn't mean they're bad digital soldeirs, patriots, Christians. We all need to pray to God for discernment to tell who's who and what's what with this sort of thing.
Some people on this board need to learn to have a little grace and tact towards their fellow Americans instead of mocking and berating them. There's a nasty spirit of self-righteousness and sanctimony that sometimes rears its head during times such as these.
It'll be fine anons, we still have a long battle ahead of us and now is the time to be lifting each other up and not putting fellow patriots down when they're feeling at their lowest.
Trying to understand your comment. Those screaming "doomers" or those apparently "dooming"? Either way american or not shouldn't matter, were all bloody struggling
