Yup, 100% his purchase of Twitter wasn’t done because it’s something that he always wanted to do. It’s part of the plan. He’s the perfect foil. And from the looks of it it’s working swimmingly.
He's talked about turning it into a payment platform, where users are authenticated, content creation is monetized, and bank accounts are connected.
Musk has a history in the creation of PayPal and x.com and he's spoken to the effect of "I should get credit for PayPal, I will turn twitter into the #1 payment/financial/social media website all in one centralized place"
With that in mind, plus his army of satellites and transhumanist ambitions, it's not at all clear which side he is trolling.
