People need to distinguish between a tool and its maker.
There is an interesting story about the invention of the typewriter in the Racine annd Milwaukee area, and the connection to the Voree plates.

Well, there is that. It was the first example I could bring to mind of a purely ideological rejection, On second thought, I did recall their disappointing and sometimes pernicious products. But they can produce quality when that is required, even in humble products. I have a Chinese-copy Tokarev 33 and it is quite adequate, being built to original Soviet standards. If you can think of a better substitute than "Chinese," I would welcome that.
Chinese made these substandard products. China is the the country they live in. Adequate is not Excellence. I speak from experience with these products. The crap literally says Made in China. Accuracy is an important factor in good marksmanship. I love Chinese food

I bought a heated jacket from a company called Ororo; unfortunately they're made in China. But it's actually a great jacket; very warm even when not turned on. I go to work wearing just a button down shirt and that (obviously pants too), and I rarely get cold. Here's a link
