We must understand that mail in ballots and ballot harvesting are legal in these states and that the Dems have effectively used it to their advantage. In these same states the Dems have consistently beat us at the ground game. This has been a problem for a number of years - and they know it. That is why they can sit back smugly and not even bother campaigning. Why bother when they own the process.
We may have the message hands down, but they rule the process in many states - a reality we are going to have to deal with if we are going to beat them at their own game. Those districts in CA and NY that flipped Republican were because instead of fighting the rules, the Republicans used the process more effectively and won. When we combine our messaging with a better run process, we will win. Like it or not, we are going to have to deal with mail in ballots and harvesting. If you can't beat them, join them. Republican committees throughout the country need to network with these more successful campaigns in CA and NY and duplicate their methods throughout the country. This is how we not only flip critical seats and offices to our favor, but also beat the enemies within our own party. It will take everyone getting involved, but it will work. Once we can get back a few key state positions, then we can fix the elections once and for all. Until then, we have to fight using the rules already in place - like it or not.
You are most welcome. I have heard many talking about this all over the country. We need to get more attention on it at our local and state Republican party operations. If they do not take this seriously, then they need to be voted out and get people in there that can take it to heart. CA and NY showed us that this can be done even in areas that lean heavily Dem. They proved that they can beat the Dems at their own game.
We can do this if we start war gaming it now and get people involved. This is going to take more than simply showing up at the polls. We have a lot of ground to cover in order to compete with the Dems in this arena. I complained about this with my own local Republican party during the Obama years. They simply kept beating us in the process. They care nothing about the message - which is where Republicans keep focusing thinking that alone will get us over the top. We have to change this mindset. Harvesting and mail in ballots is a reality in many states. That is not going to change anytime soon. So we had better learn how to work within that system. Otherwise, we are sunk.
People are doing things. That is what allowed CA and NY to overcome terrific odds and flip those seats. The problem is that the rest of the Republican old school mindsets in other places kept thinking that we were going to pull this out simply by increased numbers at the polls - which did happen, but it was not enough to overcome the harvesting and mail in ballots. Sadly, the local and the state level Republican leadership did not take this threat seriously and they didn't make plans to mitigate it.
We have to get better and this needs to be gamed out at the local and state levels to improve our ground game. That is where the Dems consistently have beaten us over the years - something I have been complaining about to my own area's party apparatus since the Obama days. Unfortunately, it fell on deaf ears. I really hope they start paying attention now. Where we fall short is simply getting people involved to make it all happen. We have done better in this area, but more needs to be done. This is going to require sacrifice on our part because we don't have the money behind us to pay for such efforts. The Dems win the ground game because they have NGOs to pay for it.
I am putting this information out there so people know about it and can take steps to to combat the hijacking of our electoral system. CA and NY can show us how and they proved it can be done - even in states where it did not seem possible. If people are not actively involved in their local Republican operations, then at least they need to pony up and financially support the effort. One or the other. Simply going to vote is not going to pull this out of the fire and we can no longer sit back and expect others to carry the weight. Everyone needs to ask themselves what have they personally done to help in this fight.

Very good points ... thanks!

Ok. Thanks.
