You mean to tell me a series games depicting hard fighting Military Commandos and Special Operations with a whole bunch of cool gadgets saving America and her allies from Russian and Chinese shenanigans was a recruiting tool and propaganda piece? I am shocked. Shocked! Well not that shocked.
Activision is a hornets nest of propaganda
I never played it so don't know, but I would assume so.
Of course it is. Just like any entertainment media that is sold as 'not suitable for children' but is clearly branded and marketed towards them.
What isn’t?
We are not. LOL
Every film TV show featuring US mil in a positive way (and with their cooperation) is propaganda, since WW2.
Yes. True.
It's also been a tool to train young kids without them every entering the service. Take a nephew or cousin or someone ya know who is a young gamer playing cod. Ask them about certain weapons and not only will they be able to tell you about them. They could probably load it and shoot various military weapons just from playing that game. Now theres about 10-15 years of Americans who grew up with these games that still would know how to pick up certain rifles and load them and use them without ever being in the service.
I understand what you mean.
How about cleaning it or aiming? You don't learn that from playing video games?
With the shit cartoonish graphics? Shitty hit registering and the nastiest lag you've ever encountered in a game?
I woulda thought that battlefield would've been the better choice with the amazing graphics. Actually having to aim your shots, you ain't hitting a headset across the map if you don't aim correctly. You ain't hitting a guy that's running unless you actually lead the target. And then you got the vehicles, tanks, choppers, jets and destructible environment.
Many here don't understand what you mean by that because they haven't been on the internet long enough to understand what you mean, or been interested in games any deeper than angry birds and candy crush. Infinity ward let the franchise go to shit after Treyarch got involved, so CoD 2 was the last game that made that was worth playing. Bad company 2 was the best that EA made, with BF Vietnam at a close second. I get your rant lol, and I completely agree. CoD attracted normies into three sphere of competitive FPS games and completely destroyed it. Porting tactical shooters to consoles should have never happened, at least in the mid 2000s. Now you have rainbow flags, genderless toons and 20 rounds in a killbox that's 4x the size of the target to win. Supporting CoD, but mainly Activision, in any political way, is blindly supporting globohomo. Just look at what they did to WoW for the past decade if you don't play shooters. At least blizzard made classic to redeem themselves.. they should have never merged, because that's when the problems started
Battlefield 4 was the greatest FPS to ever come out. The crumbling infrastructure was so impressive and the graphics still look better than most games today. To me, it seems like graphics for most FPS today have become gamier and less dynamic. All they had to do was take BF4 and build on it. But apparently that's just too much to ask for while they build a less cooler version from scratch and waste a shitload of more money in the process.
I have never play it so don't know. Thanks for telling me not to go there. Kek
Lest we forget the Activision Blizzard scandal that just occured last year... Now AVB is "training kids to be commandos"? Are we making any sense here?
It makes sense that they are trying to recruit kids for the military because many are now not viewing the military in very good light.
I have heard that the warfare now are not "send in the troops and shooting them dead." Many are done by virtual reality via drones and guided missiles.
I remember watching a documentary on games like this in the past. The government is all for these games because it makes the kids think it’s all great, I also think that they watch and see if someone does a mission a different way and they work that into their own operations .
Ooh. That's right. Enders Game.
How many of you “veteran” FPS gamers have ever gone hunting and actually stalked and killed another predator. Like a bear, or a mountain lion? I’ll wait. You keyboard warriors need to remember where your area of expertise ends.
Sorry. I don't hunt moving targets. I only hunt plants. Ask others.
and that's relevant to this thread how?
It’s relevant to every thread, everywhere. It’s a piece of the puzzle. It’s a big puzzle.
but it's not. there was no "keyboard warrior" running their mouth or anything in the comments. there was just you randomly going off for no apparent reason XD
Bunch of slack jawed faggots around here. You think we’re going to win a war with a victim attitude like that? Suck it up.
we're also not gonna win a war with people like you going off on your own allies and getting riled up over literally nothing.
“Literally nothing”……. Ya, right.
well, what WERE you getting riled up over then?
