I tried to tell my family about how dangerous the covid shot is.
🗣️ DISCUSSION 💬
They don't believe me. That our government and healthcare is committing genocide. They don't want to know. I don't know what to do or how else to tell them. For me it's life and death, I want to save them from killing themselves with this vaccine. they won't see what I show them. Whenever I send them links their response is always the same "stop sending me that crap", and tell me how misinformed I am.. I want to yell at them, but at the same time I have to hold my breath and be mature about it. Anyone else feel totally alienated like me?
EDIT: thank you all so much for the great responses!
I do daily.
Me, too. But it is tearing me up inside, knowing that my mom (who only got the initial vaccine thank God), my twin brother (who is ultra liberal and boosted to the max), along with my cousins, my boss, coworkers, my extended family, friends, neighbors… they could all be gone within a year or two. Not all of them are liberal - my mother is a MAGA republican! It’s overwhelming at times. Sometimes I wish I didn’t know as much as I do. It’s a lot to deal with alone.
But you aren't alone. I'd wager nearly all of us are in the same situation. My mom actually didn't get the vax, which was amazing. But - my wife, both daughters, and son-in-law all got at least the 1st. Son-in-law was military so he had all of them up to late this year before he finally got out. My youngest daughter got 1 Pfizer but didn't get the 2nd half dose, and she is the one I asked for prayers on here for a month or 2 ago because she was pregnant and having issues. Baby was born fine and will be a month old on Sunday. Oldest daughter is a teacher, surrounded by liberals, and got all the shots. My sister actually got the 1st shot while she was having liver issues in 2021, went into the hospital for liver failure just a month after the shot, "tested positive" for covid, and they did the kill treatments of the vent and Remdesivir. My work tried to force me to get it as well and I refused long enough to make it to OSHA getting overruled. Then my company dropped the mandate. There are actually a fair amount of us at work that refused and are still pure bloods.
I did everything I could to talk them out of getting the shots but none listened to me except my mom, but after the first shots they all finally listened and stopped. It was probably different for me though, because all of them are conservatives (even the teacher) if not outright MAGA.
By the way - I say all the time that I wish I didn't know as much as I do as well. Then I realize I wouldn't have it any other way. Someone has to be around to pick up the pieces when they fall apart. That is our job now so we all have to get used to it and try to stop the bleeding where we can.
I read a sentence on here ages ago ...we will stay awake and protect them while they are sleeping.....
