Or was THAT just misinformation? I think they panicked when Trump announced the biggest day in American history and that’s all they could come up with , Obama and bush ? Did Trump get them to expend their shot prematurely?

They probably thought he was going to drop the moab of all moabs and wanted to get out in front of it. Then he just announced his candidacy and they had no reason to move forward.
