Yeah. If they would have shown any more with the gay stuff, then it would have earned even less money. The only revenue this movie received is from parents who were unaware of the sodomy plot.

That is a significant factor believe it or not. Other significant factors include

the woke factor being off the roof,

Disney-fatigue,

people holding out until the film-getting dumped onto Disney+,

release date being sandwiched between two larger film releases (Black Panther and Avatar 2),

recession causing people to cut back on luxuries...

That should cover the basics.
