This is corporate-speak. When the boss comes out and says “there was a misunderstanding” that means someone got strong-armed into compliance.
If Apple never seriously planned on pulling the Twitter app from their online store, the stories never would have came out and Cook would have quickly shut down the false narrative before letting it run wild.
And Elon wouldn’t have threatened to sell his shares.
Elon out-leveraged Cook. 100%
It also helped that the uprisings in China crippled Apples supply chain. They started on 11/23 in Iphone city in China. Foxconn is a Taiwanese company that makes most of Apples products at plants in China. The protests happened in places critical to Apple's supply chain. They were getting hammered.
Elon had the deck stacked in his favor.
Agree. If Musk had dumped his Apple stock, a massive sell-off would have ensued. Major pain for Apple.
On target. Also, many of us have been calling and contacting Apple, and there is obvious a big coverup going on regarding the Chinese protestors and the Twitter censorship. Elon definitely forced Apple's hand.
My thoughts exactly.
Yeah agree.
I'm not buying a word of it. Clandestine is on the money.
After so many years, you should be used to the reality that nothing is as it seems. Tim gave in. Elon won. The story is the win, not the negotiation.
Cook's superiors probably started this being willing to throw Cook under the bus and hoping that Elon would take it and loose money on the bullying. Elon told Cook "no" I have it all and I will expose you and your superiors right now OR I'll give you till xxx (like two weeks or something) then I'll expose you and your puppet masters... "Good conversation" Tim. Nice place you got here. It'd be a shame if I tweeted the truth about you today...
I believe we Anons are a major factor here, putting heat on Apple about a possible boycott. Keep the heat up, you citizen journalists you. Here is their media contact information from their web site:

Anyone in corporation-land knows the language when they see it. Don't they use similar code in sports ball?
