This particular tweet may be relatively uncontroversial, but it should be pointed out at any opportunity, Jason Whitlock has proven to be an utterly fearless speaker of the damning truth, stomping through minefields where even many stalwart conservatives are fearful to tread. Love this guy, this big ol’ honey badger.
Eggs are over $6 a dozen where I live. But I have twelve hens who are just starting to lay and I won't have to buy eggs this week. Thank God.
If you're able to have chickens where you live, even just four to six hens will give a small family enough eggs per week and they're fairly low-maintenance animals. And there's your protein.
I used to pay 99¢/dozen or $1.49/18-count in 2020.
Now the cheapest I can find is $3.49/dozen.
I keep telling people that food inflation is around 30% but it seems like everyone is brain dead and no one listens. In the case of eggs, it's about 300%.
I don't know where he's shopping, but I checked prices in various states, and couldn't find $7 eggs anywhere. I buy jumbo eggs at Publix here in Florida, and they've gone from about $2.50 to $2.80 per dozen, to perhaps $3.75...can't remember exactly.

Everything was cheaper in 2020, especially food.
Weird how that bird flu suddenly materialized this year.
