I taught a graduate course more than 20 years ago (many undergraduates were in the class), and even then, students didn't know how to use a library to do research. I can't even imagine how bad it must be now.
10 years ago I found reports being filled with passages from WPedia. Verbatim passages. With several students using the same passages (okay, entire paragraphs). So disappointing. They can't even be bothered to plagiarize from some other web site that required a search first.
