The idea behind short range missiles is to prevent Ukraine from attacking deep into Russian territory and thus provoke a wider conflict, i.e., "The US is directly involved in strikes on Russian territory".

It is the WHITE HATS who want to avoid getting the United States of America into a hot war with Russia.
It is the BLACK HATS who are trying everything they can to start a war between the United States of America and Russia.
If the Black Hats were in control, they would have sent Ukraine unrestricted weaponry with the full capability to strike at the heart of Russia.
It is the White Hats who would restrain the capability of all weaponry sent to Ukraine so as to maintain the illusion that the Black Hats are in control, while subverting the larger objective of the Russian American war the Cabal so deeply desire.
If you start from the 40,000 ft perspective, the picture becomes clear.

On a different look, why send this shit at all then? What good are long range missile systems that are rigged to be short range? 50 miles puts you in range of any capable Air Force. As well as Russian ground based missiles and hypersonics. So why part with valuable equipment that is no longer valuable if set to useless range?
They sent them because they had to maintain the illusion of war, and the United States support for the Ukrainian regime. We don't know why this illusion was necessary, only that it undoubtedly was. Anons are not privy to concrete details surrounding the military operations going on world wide. If we were told the reasons for these happenings, it would certainly jeopardize the operation.
If I were to take a guess as to why this illusion had to be maintained, I would say that the time is not right for the curtain to be pulled back on the Ukrainian Cabal and Khazarian Mafia. It must be understood that once that domino falls, so too will the remainder of them. All roads lead back to the Khazarian Mafia, and Ukraine is a major stronghold for the Cabal. The Cabal have been severely weakened over the past six years to the point that if Ukraine falls, the game will be over. Some might question why we are experiencing a delay in this checkmate move. It is equally important for us to also understand that this is not merely a kinetic war, but also an informational war.
We are not just fighting the Cabal on the battlefield, but also in the minds of ever citizen on Earth. Before the White Hats can wrap up the kinetic war, and topple the last few dominos, they must first prepare the minds of the normies for the happenings that are to come. The stage must be set in order for The Great Awakening to occur in its entirety. Humanity must be woken up completely, else this is all for naught, and our descendants will be fighting this same war all over again in time.
Someone else somewhere else here was talking about defective gear being sent from Canada there. That probably could use a deep dive. And would fit in with what you are saying.
I remember stories from the Vietnam era where we would leave deliberately overcharged bullets and mortar shells for the Viet Cong/NVA that would end up killing them or getting them killed. Bad bullets blow up the chamber rendering the gun useless. Bad mortars kill the entire crew. And it scares the shit out of all of them wondering if their gear is gonna kill them or not.
Would be very entertaining if we are doing that on some scale over there.
