Even though I live in a highly populated state, I was fortunate to grow up where there were still many small farms where I lived, so I knew where our food came from. Later generations wouldn't even be able to take a tour of a farm, because of the smell. Much easier to think it all comes from the supermarket, already packaged.
For the city folk, would you please elaborate on the smell comment? The difference between when you were young and now? Thanks.
It smells like animal poop on farms. City slickers immediately complain of it when the arrive at a farm.
Oh, lol. If that's what INK10 meant, that's not what I was thinking. I wondered if perhaps there had been a change in terms of the chemicals used on a farm that caused a change in the smell. Thanks.
really depends on the farm also, as plenty of farms actually smell way nicer than downtown San Francisco.
