Probably significant because

  • previous coups have been occurring in previous French colonies - like Burkina Faso
  • the coups were led by French trained military
  • now looks like the French are slowly losing their grip on their colonies
  • a few weeks ago someone posted something about France printing money and holding the reserves of several African countries- financial hostages under French control
  • these countries that recently threw off French influence are now reaching out to non- EU countries, especially Russia and China (Sorry no single source just been reading bits and pieces of non- MSM news)
