So what was the difference between the hand re-count compared to the machine count? I'm pretty sure this could be an interesting number!!
According to this article, the hand count came out with 45 fewer ballots. Both candidates lost votes, but the Democratic candidate lost more which flipped the outcome.
I just don't see how this is really relevant though. The numbers are really small, and even if the Dem won, the Republicans have a stronghold in Iowa. Either outcome wouldn't have changed this.
These people take over areas one little bite at a time.
Yes, this time - it wouldn't change the majority in Iowa.
That is immediate thinking.
These people are in it for the long haul. They are moving the fence on the rest of us - one inch further into your yard each year.
It's like a mold. Little by little - until it's so big it snowballs and your whole house is infected because you didn't take out the spec you saw at the start.
If we shut down the little stuff like this - it prevents the mold from taking over.
And also - it's immediate proof of problems with the machines.
Wouldn't it be reasonable to respond by asking - if the error can happen here - why can't it happen elsewhere? Shouldn't we test everything everywhere like this?
Look further then the immediate and you will see all sorts of issues.
