At this point, a lot of those people have committed to the narrative and whatever their subconscious has learned, their ego doesn't want to back down.
I kind of get that, I don't like to change position either, it hurts.
They so desperately don't want to admit that all of their "virtuous sacrifices" are for nothing.
Not to mention the pacing lion in the room: The "vax" they took multiple times is going to kill them, and knowledge of that keeps growing in them, just below the surface.
