So, I have been sitting on some extra money from when my mother passed earlier this year and decided this would be a fun thing to spend it on that I know she'd have loved. So, I went to the site and picked up one of each 45. My plan was to get them professionally framed and hang them in her house, which we rent out now on AirBnB.
I went through the purchase process and after a couple hours I had gotten all of them in my email. I don't know if they're going to be sending larger quality images, but the ones I got were not good enough to print out, they were small and would get grainy quickly when I made them large enough to print (I wanted to print them at 8X10).
I emailed to ask about them and got a reply back that said they will be sending higher quality images in a few weeks, these are the previews that will be registered on the block chain - I'm not sure how that all works if anyone has any ideas.
Overall I'm happy with them. I got another email saying I'm invited to an event at Mar A Lago and they will be in touch about when the dates are and the info.
Did anyone else buy some? Which ones did you get?
EDIT: I just got an email from the graphic designer who made the images, he included all 45 very high res images and said these will print as large as I want them.
I'm so happy!
While I'd personally never spend any money on NFT digital images, you seem happy with the purchase! Hope you get the higher res pics & actually get to participate at that dinner. You should think about what to ask / tell Trump when you meet him.
I buy almost everything Trump puts out but I can't get my head around paying for digital images. It just doesn't compute how there is inherent value in something like that. Same reason I'm wary of crypto currencies. I may just be a techno-dumbass, but how are these actually of value??
Bc they can be held and resold digitally on the blockchain, as if they were physical cards. They cannot physically degrade, unlike physical cards and they are still limited in quantity like physical ones.
But it is digital, how can it not be duplicated many times over and inherently mean any "less" than the original other than sentimentally as the original is the original while the same superficially as the duplicates?
Think of buying an NFT as buying proof that you own something. So others may copy the image and use it, but on the blockchain it will always say that you are the true owner of said image - until you decide to sell the NFT, in which case the buyer then becomes the new "true" owner.
