agree entirely. I just ditched my smartphone last week for a flip phone - its crazy how many things even I took for granted, and it has been difficult adjusting to not having all of those tools/internet at my fingertips whenever i needed it. But Im trying to stick with it because i know its better for my happiness, and better for my privacy
You can overcome a lot of the basic tools apps with a wifi device or something like an old palm pilot.. While most flip phones have basic cameras, calculators and browsers....Something with no carrier controlled connection to the "source"/corp website adds a nice barrier to the sensors which could be misused...and Viola.. not monthly OS updates, no nightly sync.....
