In America, the public is given zero information on the "Weimar Republic," the period in Germany post-WWI that led to the rise of the NationaI SociaIists in 1933. This is deliberate. The period holds too many secrets to the modern world. This thread will expose those secrets.

Ah yes, the liberal Utopia where everything from homosexuality to necrophilia and pedophilia was not only legal, but openly encouraged. But remember, "there's no evidence" that acceptance sexual debauchery leads to societal degradation.
People do not understand how politically convulsive the 1919 Revolution was (depose the Kaiser, surrender to the Allies, and succumb to a succession of communist/socialist government) and how economically devastating the deficit-spending policies of the Weimar Government were. Or how chaotic and confusing the political landscape was, with weird and overlapping variants of socialism in contest with Red Communists (whom the public greatly feared). Finding any kind of unity against the Communists was precarious, and the Nazis made a reputation of opposing them by armed struggle if necessary. It was not a pleasant time, and all directions led into murk. All feet were made of clay.
Can't unroll thread b/c too old? I'm not on twit, not an expert- what are the best preservation options?
Click on the purple wording in the header. That should open the unrolled tweet for you...it does for me.
I kept getting unable to find page sort of errors, searched manually though and found it. Might be a browser issue.
You better start believing in the Weimar Republic, you’re in one!
Recommended reading? The Rommel Papers. Most of rommels writings have never been declassed, but there is a book thats been released that has great insight into germany ww2.
Rommel was a great guy. A movie should be made about him based off his writings.
There was a book written by desmond young called the desert fox that is awesome. He was a british captain that was a pow of rommels in africa. Hitler gave the order to kill all POWs on rommels african retreat but he ignored the order.
After the war Young visited rommels wife Frau and son Manfred as well as people whom rommel served with and wrote the book.
Fascinating stuff.
Few other interesting things. Rommel is often thought of as the guy behind the tank blitzkrieg but actually it was guderain sp? Anyway, rommel was just the best at it.
Also, rommel for those who study him was actually most known for his ww1 exploits. In particular, his close quarter combat strategies.
It his his knowledge of close quarter combat ability that many of his letters are still classified.
I am sure they use them at fort bragg to train tier 1 operators to this day.
The socialism not great. However they did have a currency that was backed by something real instead of fiat paper and ink. Their economy was booming until the bankers saw them as a threat. Which is always the case.
I believe that was status post the Weimer Republic and after Hitler was in power.
The bankers were big-time into funding Hitler, but I believe that was the setup for the cabal plan to generate WWII.
Destroy Germany culturally, then use the polarizing insanity to prompt war and destroy them and the surrounding countries, wind up owning all the debt from all sides. Sounds about right.
