I know it's nuts, but it's an interesting thread to pull on. What purpose would it serve? Why would the CIA cover it up? Is there any evidence to corroborate such an event? What effect would the revealing of such an event have on the American Public, especially regarding such a beloved former president?

Somebody else here said that.
Thing I couldn't understand is how he wouldn't notice that he was at great risk in the car when he had threatened the CIA. Didn't the car even slow down? Didn't his protection detail also withdraw a bit.
Well, that's one possible explanation for the "why." If he wanted to take down the CIA, what better way than to embroil them in a scandal that's plagued the Agency for almost sixty years and counting?
He did more than threaten. He issued an NSAM to defund and effectively dismanlte the CIA by removing all covert operational assets from them, but they "killed" him before he could implement it. This NSAM was implemented in November of 2020 by Chris Miller and Ezra Cohen-Watnik (suspected JFK grandson). Here is the ceremony from November 18, 2020: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMSw44QvM_0
Implementation was expected to take 4 days, meaning CIA neutralized on Nov 22, 2020. And don't forget most of their funding also removed: https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/pentagon-plans-cut-support-cias-counterterrorism-missions/story?id=74641591; I believe the budget cut was effective January 5, 2021.
EDIT: I believe it was National Security Action Memos #57 and #58 that got implemented on Nov 18, 2020: https://irp.fas.org/offdocs/nsam-jfk/NSAM_LIST.pdf; You can get copies of these from the jfk library website: https://www.jfklibrary.org/
weird train of thought: could that be why it's so hard to audit the War Department? (aka DOD) If the CIA has materiel hidden among military equipment, that would explain why certain bases stonewall so hard against being audited, they know they have equipment that isn't supposed to exist.
