20 degrees where I live. The wind caused my American flag to get caught on something and it ripped. :(
They gave the cold front a "terrifying" name and report it as a bomb cyclone threat. Be scared! Man made! Climate catastrophe!
Oh, I know, but they like to make it more menacing, it seems. Don't let a wather pattern go to waste. ;)
I am up in the Norteast , near Quebec, they did close stores and send people home, tell folks to stay off the roads after 4, because it was warmish, up to 50 this afternoon in Burlington, then it was torrents of rain for 3 hours, with thunder and lightening, and then , in a matter of a couple of hours it is dropping to 5 degrees. Not safe to be on any roads in any vehicle.. that kind of sliding is not fun.I just finished smoothing the walkway like cake batter, it did all that rain on top of 18 inches of snow, I do not want it to freeze in lumps and ruts. The trees will snap like crackers with a flash freeze. Ice storms are the only thing I hate about winter, well that and below zero base temps for weeks on end.
Growing up in Oklahoma, we used to have ice storms every winter it seems. It is impossible to drive on that! We lost so many trees and limbs due to the weight. It's also a creepy noise to hear nothing but cracking trees when the power is out.
