Both are just fine. Saint Nicholas was a saint after all. We can walk and chew gum folks! Yes we need more focus on why we celebrate Christmas. That said giving gifts to loved ones is about love, at the base of a tree is biblical. Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater! IMHO
Santa brings a smile to a childs face. How can that ever be wrong?
When my kids reached the age of understanding, I taught them the true meaning of Christmas. We always had 1 gift for each child that brought Jesus into focus. Some of those gifts are among my childrens dearest possessions now. And my children have carried this tradition on with their own families.
It is a failure of parents if a child grows up ignorant of the deeper Truths.
The 22% might be non-Christians. I know a few people who celebrate the more commercial parts of Christmas (tree, Coca-Cola Santa) and are not Christians. Not the worst thing in the world as you can't celebrate Christmas, even in its sanitized commercialized form, and then be anti-Christian. Also, those people have no issue with saying "Merry Christmas" and think it's dumb that the mainstream culture seems to have an issue with it. Granted, they are not leftists. As a Christian, Christmas might be a good way to start a conversation with them if you think the might be open to converting.
On the other hand, no Christian should answer Santa Clause. St. Nicholas himself would have picked Jesus over himself in the poll. Hopefully no Christians are prioritizing the watered down commercial version of Christmas.
I had been searching for the latest episode of The Chosen to binge on Jesus only to realize it’s not out yet! Now I’m here ready to go to bed ✅🙏 No Saturnalia for me by Choice
For what are cheap chinese gifts compared to everlasting life with our Lord and Saviour!?
Religion is cringe
Name checks out.
Faith ≠ religion
Christianity is not a religion.

Throwing the baby out with the bathwater is a serious past time here at GAW. But I agree with every word you typed.
Passtime - unless you mean history.
Right on. Thanks for the tip. Merry Christmas!
It isn't a contest
Ya get both!
Merry Christmas
Spirituality vs materialism (and paganism)
St Nick loves Jesus! St Nick was a bishop.

Just because they know he brings the toys. No toys and Santa can pound sand.

I wonder what Jehovah's Witnesses would favor, since they don't even recognise Christmas?
