I cheated on my girlfriend...as I did most of them. We joined a leadership group called LTD and I went to a weekend function where they had church on Sunday. I was called to the front and asked to be saved...500+ people all watching and praying
Fast forward a few weeks I was watching some video with her it was like a remix set to aladdin or something. The people in the video literally said you better tell her...you better let her know. Then a voice in my head said you arent going to be able to live with this lie...over and over.
That night I told her I was unfaithful to her and that I was so sorry for the hurt and distrust this caused. I went to the bathroom to cry after she walked out the room and my knees began to tremble. I felt a shooting energy from above fill my body. It was 100% real. I asked a preacher friend about it and he said you received the holy spirit. My life has never been the same since.
God is so good and no one is unworthy of his love and forgiveness. Even if you werent loved growing up, God has always been there. I was Agnostic for 25 years and am proud to say its been 10 years since I was saved. 4 beautiful children later and a wonderful marriage to that same girl.
Give yourself to God if you havent already. Its an incredible thing to experience in your lifetime.

Thank you friend. She forgave me. Never ever brings it up even when we argue over whatever normal stuff. She is the closest to God that i have ever been and continues to guide me through her faith and love. I am a man hardened from war and she gave me a chance to be in this existence with her. I owe her everything

Sounds like the Almighty had your 6 the entire time. You just needed to go through some things to get you to where you needed to be. This life is just a test in order to get us ready for the life that he really has in mind for us - but we are not ready for that level of revelation in the state that we are in when we arrive here. Our next life - eternal life - will be in his presence - something that our present state cannot tolerate and survive. Therefore we have to have the dross removed. Thankful you are on the path fren. Thanks also for sharing. A very inspiring story about the faithfulness and lovingkindness of our Heavenly Father, and the testimony of a godly woman. She is your crown. You are a blessed man.
Thank you so much for your response. My deployment overseas had me seconds away from dying at least 10 times so Iooking back now there was always a presence around me. My wife is definitely my everything. Now for the hard part which is to forgive myself for my past. Its hard to do. I dont feel worthy of anything I have but hopefully I will recover one day.

Know that you are important enough for the Almighty to put this much work into, despite your best efforts to botch it up, Sounds to me that you must be pretty important in his plans. You are worth it to him and important to others - so don't be so hard on yourself. Your life has meaning and purpose. You are no accident. When he says you are a new creation - he means it. Stop allowing the enemy of your soul to keep reminding you of your past - the Almighty is more concerned with your future. If one is looking in the rear view mirror, then seeing the road ahead becomes more difficult. We all make mistakes and get knocked down once in awhile. The key is not staying down but getting up and moving forward. He only has good things in store for you. Trust in him to allow you to trust in yourself. Thanks for sharing.
