Something to consider: we call ourselves "pede's". With so much focus about to be brought onto those we call "pedo's", it might be wise to stick with the other monikers, as the words are very similar, and normies could make the same mistake I did at first and interchange the two.
I like anons. We are a community working together for the good of us all - not the glory of a few. We each play a part, some more than others, but everyone working together is greater than the sum of the parts.
First time I heard the term "pede" here pedophile was the first thing I thought of. It's really not obvious at first what "pede" is supposed to mean.
Concerning the term "QAnon", I really think way too big a deal is made out of outsiders using that term. This is the only Q forum I've ever been to, but I know there are others out there. It's not like we own the rights to the Q community.
And unless you're part of a group that uses all of those terms "frens, pedes, autists, whatever" how are you supposed to know what the group likes to be called?
By controlling the dialect and word choices, the media hijacks movements and narratives. “Q” and “anon” are separate. All of their news articles put the two together, “qanon” so when normies hear about it for the first time, they google “qanon” and what do you think pops up? The true q and anons or the mainstream spin?
Media and Hollywood does this often with books, tv show, and movie titles. So when you go to look up information about a certain operation it’ll pop up pop culture stuff or slander articles first, and bury the truth.
The short of it is the conflation of nonsense theories with what Q actually said. This allows them to drive normies away from something they think is crazy, when in reality Q never said any of that shit, it was anons.

i prefer anons or pepes
Fren for life.
Yeah I never liked pede and don't use it myself.
Where did the term "pede" for "anons" come from anyway?

It wasn't always like this, but currently QAnon is used by the media for the express purpose of slandering the movement and Q.
How?

Read the Q posts and you'll know.

being a 'pede (short for centipede) comes from the days of r/the_donald on reddit. I get your point, but I kind of like it.
