The question that I've been wondering lately is who is in charge of assigning judges to cases? Because the people doing the assigning are ultimately the most powerful people in terms of determining a case's outcome (by being able to cherry-pick a judge to deliver their desired verdict), and seem to be the most heavily-compromised/corrupted group in the justice system.
