They're hunting these whale looking things and when they kill them, they drill a hole up into their adrenal gland and fill up this giant vial with that they call liquid gold, which has anti-aging properties and "way way way more than you can get from a human being." (So....they usually get it from human beings?)
It's so valuable they don't even bother with the rest of the whale's body. They just take the adrenochrome and bounce.
Watched the movie because the wife wanted to watch it, and all I did was picking out comms and references.
The cabal telling us they will drive us out and hunt us down, because we have humanity in us so we will let them live, allowing them chance after chance to kill us.
Saw it.
There was definitely adrenochrome messaging, 100%.
To me, it looked like they were portraying those who hunted it as evil.
There was a single whale who was ostracized for fighting against them, in the end that whale killed most of the bad guys and was portrayed as a hero.
To me, the messaging seemed to be anti-cabal and pro-people who want to kill the cabal.
It still normalizes/desensitizes the whole concept, which is ultimately the problem.
I had that sense as well. I liked the inclusion of strong father figures and the whole family dynamic. I also noticed the inclusion of the phrase "Darkness to light." Really interesting.
No, because Hollywood is propaganda and I know better?
Just watched a video where Killer Whales will attack Great White sharks and eat only their liver.

Yessss wanted to post about this dec 15 when I saw the movie!!! Adrenochrome was the new Unobtainium
Nope. Never saw it. Never wanted to.
I hated the movie. And yes! I totally got that too...
No I missed that part but my Aspergers kid mentioned that to me later. I was having hard time staying awake. I did notice the line “dark to light” twice and could’ve sworn it was said that there is a whole world under the sea.
How about the south park episode that portrayed Christopher Reeve sucking blood from the neck of a baby to become super human.
On several occasions many references were dropped throughout the movie. The cloning or cross breeding was the first major indicator with the "incubators". The "whaling" scene was clearly telling the world what they're doing and the direction they are going. It was a dark place messaging movie.
