Was reading Erik Carlson's article "You Are a Horrible Person" (https://badlands.substack.com/p/you-are-a-horrible-person?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email) regarding what happened to Damar Hamlin. Carlson proposes tongue-in-cheek that if a routine tackle can cause a young, healthy player to go into cardiac arrest, then football and all other contact sports should cease to exist. As I read that, it occurred to me how vital it is for the globalists to end all sportsball for good.
Sports used to be one of the things that united people from different backgrounds. The only people who hated sports were leftists, because of all that "toxic masculinity." So, like all of our other institutions, the left began infiltrating the sports world, systematically destroying it by leaving their woke imprint. First it was stirring up controversy over gay athletes. Then it was the push to put women's sports on equal footing with men's sports (yes, I'm a woman, and I absolutely consider men's sports a vastly superior product). But now, thanks to Covid, the globalists have accelerated the destruction of sportsball:
- Sports were shut down during the pandemic.
- When they were reopened, people couldn't attend games.
- When people were allowed to attend, they had to wear masks and socially distance.
- When the clot shot became available, both athletes and patrons were told to get it or else they would not be allowed to participate.
- Those who did get the shot are now "dying suddenly."
We have certainly seen over the last two years how easily swayed the sheep are. I can totally see those in control drawing a straight line from Hamlin's situation to "OMG Sportsball isn’t safe! We must end it!" And it doesn't end with the pro teams. College, high school, Pop Warner, it all goes away. One more thing to take away from our kids to make them fat, lazy, and compliant.
In brief, sportsball allowed these leftist in, and because they did, the sportsball empire will all be destroyed. When they say "everything woke turns to shit," sometimes that is intentional. It certainly looks like it in this case.
Yea, so no. Sporting events are used to traffic humans, and are in fact largely played by trafficked humans. Yea, they have Contracts, sure those are all legit.
Sports, as we know them, evolved from more aggressive versions, maybe not golf, and people have been trying to make them SAFER from the start. Football used to have no pads or helmets.
Sport is largely to keep the masses occupied with choreographed violence beer and bread (snacks). It is the modern day circus!
I am not suggesting that they need to go, I am suggesting that they are a waste of time and only remain popular because it makes a few people rich. Know who pays to build the stadiums? Tax payers! World Cup, or FIFA, a few years ago completely demolished people's homes so that it could be where they wanted it. Sport is an arm of the "globohomo" agenda, as overblown as it is.
Not disagreeing with you. You would think with the human trafficking component sportsball would be the LAST thing they'd want to destroy. However, I think the globalists only care about their supply of kids and adrenochrome, and they'd have other ways of obtaining them.
I'm kind of thinking of the trickle down effect of the end of pro sportsball. It may not affect the kids in suburbia, who may tacitly dream of making the pros but have other dreams for their future. But it would impact inner city kids with talent who believe they have another way out. What's the point of playing sports if there is no way to make a living off of it? Of course, their chances are slim too. Maybe if pro sportsball becomes a thing of the past there is opportunity to show the inner city kids they have value outside of throwing a ball.
Like a lot of things that we have grown used to having around I am not sure that removal is necessary. We can continue to enjoy sports, it is good exercise, but we can also remove some of the unnecessary components as well. We can also tweak sports so they are not as deadly or dangerous. That inner city kid can dream all they want and make it to the top but one injury and they might never play sport again, then what? I am supposed to get excitement from this? Like how boxing has ruined people's lives. To make some cash while buying yachts for the owners.
Exactly. I read an article a while back and the author said we should not push STEM in inner city schools. Encouraging kids to explore careers in a relatively well-paying industry is bad, but pushing them into sportsball is good? Talk about the soft bigotry of low expectations 🙄
Pushing anything can lead to an abundance of qualified workers and a shortage of jobs, we have done that already. That is why college is an unnecessary suggestion, at least at the price. Florida used to let people test out of their classes for credit, not sure if they still do and I think most of the Ivy league schools post their material for free, have seen a few lectures from Harvard, no idea what they were talking about. I think that people should be able to explore for themselves, learn the jobs they want to learn without being huddled to the next economic boom/collapse cycle that seems to be the norm. Make apprenticeships normal!
"Make apprenticeships normal!"
This, times a million.
I wouldn’t miss spectator sports that much, but I had a similar thought to yours regarding participatory sports. How many American teenage boys lift weights for pretty much the sole purpose of getting better at football or a similar sport? Lots. Without sports to work towards, many people would get softer and more unhealthy.
Don’t ban sports, ban the vaxx
While I can see your point, the $$$ that are involved make it staggering how they would want to let go of this cash cow… 🤔
Litigation. Pfizer and Moderna might’ve gotten sweetheart immunity deals, but when the NFL mandated the vaxx, they opened themselves to huge liability.
Perhaps the crashing economy means that will not always be the case.
Stop supporting college and professional “sportsball”.
I think that's been the leftists' goal all along; make sportsball reviled so it gets canceled by the fans. Or, if that doesn't work, get the athletes jabbed and when they start dropping no more sportsball.
Respectfully disagree. Colleges are a factory for the left, rah, rah, come to college. owned by the traitors. Brought to you by companies that are controlled by them as well. It is all a distraction, a distraction away from the truth that humans have powers the traitors suppress to control them.
How do Sports bring people together when they all get drunk and brawl? Using a generalization there but. I view sports as today's Colosseum and the players as today's gladiators. I said this comment to someone once and they told me but nobody dies today. And I said really? Because it seems like every single stadium is in a city that has horrific murder numbers. Maybe it's just because I'm from the Philly area and all of our stadiums in the city are surrounded by the cesspool city.
Edit: I do know how to spell and spelling errors actually bother me a lot but I talked to my phone and I don't proofread. Because they don't have the time!
I live near Bloodymore, and the two downtown stadiums are probably the only things keeping the whole city from having a large brick wall built around it. We have stupid fans (especially Ravens fans), but most fans are good-natured, and I have been at games in the past where you could feel a comraderie just by being there and rooting for the home team. I haven't been in years and maybe it's different now, but I don't think the Philly experience is universal.
That said, your points are valid. I am curious to see how it all plays out.
Your points are valid too. And I do appreciate your opinion. I just personally don't like sports. For some reason everything about them leaves a sour taste in my mouth. & I think it's crazy that people will teach their toddlers how to spell e a g l e s to sing the song but not how to spell their name before preschool.
My husband and I had different experiences growing up with sports. My dad loved baseball, and when I started to show an interest he was both eager to teach me about and patient when explaining it. It was a very organic experience, and some of my favorite memories of my dad were the times we watched baseball. My husband did not have a natural interest, and his indifference became resentment because his dad was consumed with watching it. He is part of the reason my interest started to wane in the last decade or so. He actually thinks it's funny how I rail against so much of it now.
Yeah, some people are absolutely stupid about it. They will be hit hardest when it comes crashing down, but this is the very reason why no one should become overly invested in anything except God and family.
Basically I think what we need to do is get rid of the insanely high salaries and the current "commissioners" of the NBA, NFL, NHL, and baseball.
In the past when the economy was better, people were AOK with paying athletes ridiculous salaries because it correlated with their team winning. I think recent events may see that opinion change, especially when gas and grocery prices are skyrocketing.
The most vile, sickening behavior I’ve witnessed is at sportsball.
"if it saves even one life" we must cancel sportsball
FOR THE CHILDREN...
