Because the MAGA Reps cannot win this one. While we obviously prefer someone like Jordan or of course Trump as Speaker, it’s never going to happen. Sometimes you have to play the cards given and move forward best you can. Trump is the ultimate deal maker. He understands what the options are here, either McCarthy or another Dem.
I hope you don't consider yourself a patriot. If this were 1776, you'd be backing the crown.
