A lot of modern art and design was pioneered by Intelligence agencies to look a certain way, what you might call hand drawn or low quality, on purpose to demoralize and dumb people down further.

You're absolutely correct. This debased art movement impacted skateboarding, beginning about 20 years ago.

Reduction of language is in some novel I've read. Can't recall the name.

It's almost like you could eventually reduce it to raw meme, or heiroglyphs.

Kind of makes you wonder about history.
