Best: At Kings Dominion in the 70s they had a ride called Time Shaft. You stood against the wall, it started spinning and the floor dropped out. I remember some people climbing around the walls. I wasn’t that crazy. Can’t find a video and I know I saw one several years ago. Good discretion below. I’ll ride just about anything.

Kings Dominion was my family’s park destination at least three times during the year. All us kids rode our first coasters here. My grandma rode anything except something spinning around or upside down. If it was your first time you had designated privileges to ride with her.
Worst! Kings Dominion Drop Tower: I was an adult probably mid thirties. We went with my brother’s company work day. (Important later) I still had no fear. We got to the top of that ride and I could see the buildings in Richmond VA. I was at least thirty - forty miles away. That’s when panic set in. It stays up for a bit. Probably to get you good and scared. The drop was amazing. We were at the pic nic areas for large groups eating lunch. We could see the ride and it was stuck at least thirty minutes. I was thanking the good lord that didn’t happen to us. enter text
Sorry guys, my other top favorite rides are at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I know Disney is evil. That doesn’t take away my amazing memories as an adult and child going with my family.
Rock n Roll Roller Coaster: you take off in a car that looks like a limo. Sitting still to very fast, if you don’t brace your head against back of seat you will hurt for days. You are in the dark turning upside several times and sharp turns. All this while Areo Smith music it blaring in your ear very loud. Once on a slow day my dad, myself and hubby rode it three times in a row. I was still in my thirties and could have handled about ten trips in a row. It’s the best roller coaster I’ve ever ridden.
After Rock N Roll if you can handle it Tower of Terror is next. It’s not for everyone. Each ride the drops are different meaning you might not drop as far on one trip as another. I’ve been on it with three drops. Seeing others reactions that didn’t know what they were getting into is priceless. enter text
Apologies for the length. Coasters has been a top passion all my life. These are just a few of the great rides I’ve experienced over my life. It’s a small world will always be special to me because my grandpa didn’t ride many rides but he was the one taking us everywhere and only one waiting while my big family was riding. He didn’t mind he looked people watching under the shade of a tree. It was his favorite.
NO rides! I would never get on a ride at the state fair, and an amusement park, I would be hard pressed. With the standards that the world is living in today, I doubt they’re even doing basics safety standards. I mean… They are trying to kill us, right?
I don’t ride at the State Fair anymore. I was stupid when I was in high school and didn’t know better. I agree not doing safety checks sounds like something that would happen now. I look at as if I die enjoying myself I’ve lived a great life. I’d choose dying on a coaster over being sick with a deadly disease.
You got a point. Like a merry go round.
The Stanleyville train at Busch Gardens.
My toddler is an adorable coward. 😁
It’s been about twenty five years since I went to Busch Gardens. I’m guessing that’s a kid ride😜
Best- coasters
Worst- spin and pukes
Oh, I hate that. My grandmother couldn’t ride anything going around.
