Pfizer is still fighting and settling lawsuits claiming Lipitor causes type II diabetes. Space Dr. Duane Graveline took Lipitor and claimed it causes memory loss. Let buyers beware.

When I took my daughter for her summer camp physical 2 summers ago (she was 10). The doctor wanted to do a cholesterol test! My kiddo is a normal healthy kid. Zero reason to do it. I told them no and the doc pestered me the whole appointment to do it. I told her if she could give me some literature on why there was I need I'd think about it (not really). Of course she never brought me that info. 🙄 disgusting.
Why in God's name would a 10yo need a cholesterol check?? That doc sounds like a total nutcase.
Exactly! I ticked her off because I scoffed at the idea openly, she was basically trying to prove she was right to me the rest of the visit. We haven't been back since. I see a Hemotologist/oncologist because I have a genetic blood clotting defect that has caused me all kinds of major damage. Including becoming a paraplegic because of a blood clot in my spinal column during a surgery. Every time I see her which she wanted to be every 6 months she asks me to get the vax, from the very beginning one of the only side effects that they would acknowledge was clotting. So it was KNOWN. I would just look at her and say why on earth would you ask me to do that when you I know I have to avoid ANYTHING that can promote clotting? She just says meekly... well you're on blood thinners. GAH!!!! 🤡 🌎 😩 I finally talked her into moving my appointments to once a year. Last several visits she's pulling her hair out bc she has TONS of patients will really bad cancer, patients who were "cured" coming back with terrible incurable cancer. She's about to snap. She also loves to tell me all that stuff too, it's weird.
That "MD" and white coat definitely gives them a god complex.
My daughter, 19 was all but forced into a blood test the last time she went to her doctor who is really a PA. I was with her and asked the same as you, she is healthy, no issues or complaints about anything, so show me the literature. All she showed us was the list of names and rx's for hundreds of her patients (yep we could see ALL their personal info) waiting to have their rx filled which was the only reason she made an appointment, she wasn't approvong the refill. Helped wake my daughter up a little (she has a ways to go, but I credit this "doctor" for making it personal and making her start to ask questions)!
Wow. I would change pediatrician right away.
