A little off topic but, since weβre reliving the past. My grandfather said they used to soak corn cobs in the rain barrel until they were saturated and heavy. Then they would hit each other in the head with them. Last one to cry was the winner. Explains a few things.

We used to throw chestnuts still in their spiked outer covering at each other.
Thistles Work Good Too! Cut About 6" Length and Throw Like a Knife!
