Does everyone remember that video of the Florida doctor saying if you got the vaccine and you were OK afterwards, you were basically lucky? He then said one of the possible reasons you were OK is because you may not have had a lot of stomach acid. Ever since i watched that video, I have wondered if thats why i had a 2 week spell of Covid.. or whatever it was.. i never tested myself.. but im curious about something, if stomach acid is a contributing factor to a worse outcome with the spike protein, then why would a medicine such as prilosec, which is suppose to lessen stomach acid, be marked online as something to stay away from when talking about covid. I googled the words prilosec and covid and the first couple of results were very straightforward to stay away from this drug. I just got prescribed it.. im sure its over the counter as well.. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Omeprazole fucked me up.
You reduce stomach acid, then the yeast kicks in. You get candida and that leads to GERD and eventually thrush. Yeast = bubblies = GERD.
If you have stomach acid problems, omeprazole, in my experience, supplies temporary relief and guarantees an exponential increase in symptoms after it wears off.
If you ask me, it's a scam. It puts you on the stomach acid subscription model.

For the first day, take 2 every meal, one before one after. Then the next week 1 every meal. The next week, one every day until they're gone.
I used to have shards of glass in my throat, got put on the highest doses of anti-acids and acid reducers (worse than anti-acids) and then my ENT skipped town and never tapered off the dose like she said she would. Left me in a shitty place.
Stumbled on a probiotic talk for curing stomach problems, and I picked out these. You need at least 11 strains, with over 20 CFU. These fit the bill.

That does help.. I have a lot of nattokinase I have been stocking up.. would that be similiar to taking a probiotic?
Nattokinase is a proteolytic enzyme - it digests proteins. That is why it is useful to digest clots. Enzyme therapy is good for people with stomach issues among other things. You can get enzymes to help digest carbs, fats, proteins, hemicellulose, etc. Anything that is actually food, has an enzyme to break it down. Our problem is that as we age, many people no longer make enough enzymes to break down their food and supplementation can help. Enzymatic Therapy makes some great products. For a wide spectrum product, one is Digest and the better one is Digest Gold. They can be pricy, but they are excellent products.
Probiotics are basically bacteria to rebalance the gut flora. You have to find the fight formula that works for you. They all come with a basic general profile of certain bacterial strains and then each company usually has a patented proprietary strain for their particular product.
Most people do not have problems with too much stomach acid. In fact, the dirty truth is that the situation is usually the exact opposite - not enough acid to digest the food. When undigested food sits around in the stomach, there is a fermentation like situation that takes place and that in turn becomes acidic. Over time this can allow the undigested mess to back up into the throat causing damage to the valve at the top of the stomach. That is when the stomach contents back up burning the throat. Slow motility issues can add to the propensity to have indigestion as well because it is all part of the same system that is not working properly. Backed up plumbing causes a lot of problems.
Digestion problems take time to figure out and must have a multipronged approach to treating them. Unfortunately, most people don't want to take the time or make the adjustments to correct the problem. That is why omeprazole is a booming business. If the gut is not working right, in time everything else in the body is effected in a cascade. Whatever the cause of your digestive issues, omeprazole is not going to fix it even though it may relieve your symptoms. In fact, it will cause more problems down the road. There is plenty of good info online to take care of it without the drugs.
And if anyone doubts this statement: Problems with gut flora and such can cause depression, mental fog, and can even cause you to develop new allergies which can be dangerous for obvious reasons
If you can detect digestive issues, you should take the time to work on them for sure.

Great info...good explanation. I like Enzymatic Therapy...especially their digestive enzymes. They are pricy but good. My daughter has celiac and they really helped her. I notice the older I get, how much more I need to supplement digestive enzymes. I think two things that help digestive issues are apple cider vinegar and fiber.
One of the down and dirty ways I checked patients to see if they had a low acid problem was to give them apple cider vinegar. They were always surprised when their indigestion almost immediately subsided. Then they would let out a very embarrassing belch. Oh what a relief!
Yes, the Enzymatic Therapy products are probably the best enzymes out there - especially the Digest Gold. This product has 5 different proteases meaning that it can cleave proteins at 5 different sites to help break them down. That is one of the big problems with low acid. The stomach needs acid in order to begin the process of breaking proteins down. When proteins are not completely digested, they remain in bigger pieces and if there is a leaky gut situation, the intestines takes up those large chunks of protein and they act like allergens in the body. Enzymatic therapies can do some remarkable stuff when done right.
The Digest Gold can also break down hemicellulose besides the regular cellulose. Something that is important when people are trying to eat a healthier diet with more greens. I don't know of any other formula out there that can break this form of cellulose down.
The fiber I usually recommended was glucomannan. It is more gentle for sensitive digestive tracks than harsher insoluble fibers like psyllium. Apple pectin is a good addition as well. Both of these fibers can pull toxins out of the digestive tract.

You need a blend of biotics, because you don't know which you're missing.
If your stomach acid is too low for too long, the yeast kills certain stomach bacteria by competitive starvation (they compete for the same food source).
If nattokinase is anything like kimchi or saurkraut, it'll only focus on a select number of biotics, and likely the ones you already have.
You need them hard to get biotics to fill you out. You'll know it's working when you get super bloated on that first day of 2 per meal. That bloating means gas, which means the biotics are being put to work. Once they start competing with themselves, they'll tone down to where they aren't fighting one another out of desperation and the bloating will go away.
Honestly, keep on with the nattokinase (although it may be soy based) and also add in kimchi. Apple Cider Vinegar pills might also serve you well, as yeast doesn't like the apple cider. Too much can hurt your throat, which is why while I'll give a thumb's up to Bragg's , you best be watering that down or taking it in shots with a chaser.
All the above will help, in my experience. Cabbage (kimchi and saurkraut), in particular, is great for your digestion. Lower the carbs and dairy, then increase protein and fiber.

Don't take ACV in shots...it destroys enamel...always dilute in a glass of water. Dr. Berg recommended a different brand than Bragg's but I can't remember which. I take ACV every day and have NO yeast problems.
