You can give your kids a nest egg and still not breed laziness. What she is doing is selfish
...who says she isn't?
Haha true
Yeah I agree with this. Things are really difficult for the generations younger than the boomers, from Gen X all the way to Gen Z. Boomers forget that we don't have the same economy they did. They got a massive leg up with a booming economy, turned around and hoarded all the wealth, and now want to do away with inheritance so their kids "don't get lazy". Give me a break.
Yep, I don’t blame boomers, but they lived in the golden age and it’s been downhill from there. Have some compassions and understanding
She is right of course - however, and I don't know, what has she done to give her children the sort of leg up she was given?
...I am sure she has....
May not be a terrible idea...it was interesting to see the listing of all the people who have set up charities or are very philanthropic. Sometimes it seems like the people are being super generous and then you realize it is such a small per cent of their wealth they won't even miss it.
"50% of something is better than 100% of nothing"....

..."there are no pockets on a shroud"...

She should leave it to me, I'm already lazy.
,,,howls...
She has my respect. She is giving her children the gift of self reliance.
...absolute ironclad truth....
Who asks her this question? Nobody's business.
,,,that rule only applies to civilized people....
Marie was placed on the road to wealth and fame by the labor of her parents and older brothers. She was famous before she was in high school and she was rich before she could vote. I am sure she has worked hard as an adult, but she has always enjoyed privileges that were bestowed on her as a child.
...as will her offspring I am sure...
Wants to leave it all to the Mormon church, I'm guessing.
Miracle Children's Network per the article....
Which is actually her own charity, she founded along with John Schneider.
