I’ve been thinking about it a lot lately. I had an initial meeting and I liked everyone but I never followed up (purely out of fear of the above). I have trusted all of you for your input over the past few years and I would value your input on this. I have only recently realized that I’m a Christian so things feel a bit unclear.

If you understand that freemasonry is the front for satanism, and they start off at lower people with people who genuinely believe they are doing good, but psychologically profile you and promote only those susceptible and vulnerable to evil, why would you even consider being part of it.

You can read Manly P Hall and Morals and Dogma by Albert Pike. Mark Passio gives in depth lectures about Freemasonry and you can learn a lot about it by listening to his podcasts. You will know more than most masons if you do.
The Book of Enoch is a good read, too. It explains were witchcraft and other traditions come from and who taught these traditions to humans.
NImrod, Tubal-Cain, Azazel, and others are a big deal in Freeasonry. It should be clear who Tubal-Cain is descended from.

When a Freemason says something about their "Craft", ask them "Which craft?" or "Witchcraft?".

I have studied Freemasonry from the outside. Allow me to suggest that you find a book on Freemasonry that describes the rituals that you must partake in. They are quite easy to come by if you look for them. The rituals themselves are not secret. You will notice that you are required to make certain oaths -- some with rather gruesome penalties should you break them. Ask yourself if these are the types of oaths God would want you to make, especially in light of the fact that Jesus commands us not to make oaths:

I am VERY confident that every member of my lodge attends church at least semi-regularly. While that doesn't make all masons Christians, or even all of my lodge members Christian, it is the ONLY organization aside from my church that I belong to in which all members do, including THIS FORUM.

I think that as soon as you pay your first dues you are supporting the enemy. Whether you know it or not because it's your responsibility to know what they are about.
Christianity, or Freemasonry, one cannot truly be both. Freemasonry requires an oath, to put brotherhood above God.

I was raised by two parents who were athiests. Ironically it was the fact that all these evil people seem to believe in the supernatural which brought me to believing in the power of Christ. If Jesus wasn’t real, the cabal wouldn’t fear him as they do.
There are two things going on with freemasonry. There is the outer layer of upstanding, often christian people. They are basically the sheep's clothing for a layer of wolves to operate.
A very good resource on this situation is "Proofs of a conspiracy" by Robison. This was written in the late 1700s by a freemason who was a christian. He saw the group change from a fraternity for having a bit of fun to a group that was infiltrated by the illuminati and used for cabal stuff:
