In the UK, your car documents refer to the "registered keeper" rather than the owner. Maybe the crown own all the cars. I've always been curious about that.
You're spot on propertyofUniverse. The crown owns all the cars here in the US as well as anywhere else that has "registrations".
As you aptly point out, the "registered keeper" is the party that gets "beneficial use" of the property, which in the no-longer-taught world of trust law is known as equitable title. By filling out an Application to "register" (Regis = to give to the king) the car, you are handing over the LEGAL TITLE to the Crown. And the party that owns the legal title has absolute ownership of the property. No different than the grantor/settlor of a trust having absolute property ownership but granting use and enjoyment privileges of the property to the beneficiaries.
The same also goes for homes, land, boats, motorcycles, etc.
The is known as "divided title" or "split title" in common law.
And how do they get away with this? Well of course, you never LAWFULLY "exchanged value" for the car with the use of something of equal value, aka "Money" (gold or silver). Instead, you used promissory notes, aka fiat currency, which has no value as it is only a debt discharge instrument. So you just handed the previous owner of the car some "I owe you's" instead of something of "lawful consideration" value.
In order to have lawful ownership without dividing title, you need to hold the MSO/MCO (Manufacturer's Statement/Certificate of Ownership) for the vehicle, which is the REAL TITLE that the car dealerships normally send to the state government after you file your "application for registration". You then receive a "Certificate of Title" which is the equitable title only granting you beneficial use of the property.
You would also technically need to purchase the car in gold/silver or something "Real" to properly satisfy the rules of contract requiring an "equal exchange of value" as the fraudulent legal system, under statutory policy does not consider promissory notes to be anything other than debt discharge instruments.
Deception at it's finest, eh?
And this is why I call the system we're living under Neo-Feudalism. It's much more sophisticated than the old feudal system of course as it's not obvious. Hence the reason we always here "our democracy" which is code fo this neo-feudal system as we are being dominated under a "legislative democracy" instead of the Constitutional Republic we naively believe. Where "Legislative" derives from "legal" or the "Liege" system of feudalism. The "liege lords" never went away, they just changed the rules of the game.

Next time you need to buy a car, tell the dealership you're going to be moving and/or taking the car to another country and then they will give you the MCO/MSO and skip the title & registration process.
I believe that the US lost the war of 1812, but the British allowed us to be "independent." We use titles of nobility, and "judges" and "lawyers" register with the "Bar" to "practice" "law."
Yes, kinda true. This is when they destroyed all copies of the original 13th amendment which barred anybody holding a "title of nobility" from holding public office - including "esquires" of course.
The British tried again with the 2nd Bank of America that Jackson eventually destroyed. The final coup was the civil war, after which they instituted the "legal system", introduced the corporation (talking corpse) and the ABA (American Bar Association) and the "Department of Injustice" all in the 1860-1875 time frame while the south was held captive under martial law.
So many people point their fingers at the bankers, but it's the legal system that really pulls all the strings. Both of course issuing from the City of London, Westminster, Inns of the Court, Temple Bar.

Thanks for playing!
Thank you very much! I appreciate you filling in the gaps.
It's one good reason not to splash out on a new vehicle. If the crown took the vehicle from you I doubt they'd reimburse you properly.
Your spidey-senses were spot on.

Oh that is interesting. Thank you.
Maybe one day I'll wander into a new car dealership and ask them all the technical legal questions. That would be fun.

Another thing that just came to mind... patent 'owner' or patent 'holder'?
Oh yes! Not ownership, just another licence.
