The problem is Trudeau loves his role as the tyrant.
He doesn't see himself as a tyrant. He sees himself as the the matriarch of the country. He wants to help all Canadians by forcing them to do exactly what he tells them, for their own good. And as the awesome matriarch he thinks he is, he does require a cut of the revenue, it's only fair.
In addition, because he is a raging narcissist, the heckling does get to him. He expects everyone to love him as much as he loves himself, which is not possible as his love for himself is just too great and unconditional. So he brushes off the hecklers as racists, sexists, white supremacists, anti-vaxxers (these are the worst) etc. The problem with that logic is that these hecklers are everywhere, so he has to come to terms in his mind that he must be living in a country where these "bad" people are everywhere. And therefore that's why for the last few years, he looks so stressed out. Because he must now think that with these "bad" people being everywhere, taking up space everywhere, one of them could take him out at any moment.
Upvote solely for 'matriarch'.
"He doesn't see himself as a tyrant...."
An excellent analysis. But it doesn't only apply to Turdeau -- that's the description of all leftists, including the ones infesting DC.
This is missing the likelihood that Trudeau has no choice. He is being controlled by his puppet masters and must do as they say, no matter how ridiculous and nonsensical some of those commands may be.
He is still guilty, he still benefits greatly from his compliance, but whether or not he sees himself as a tyrant is irrelevant.
