That reasoning is only valid if one totally ignores proven facts- nature polices its DNA in multiple, complex and effective ways. They insist that the world and life have been around a very long time, lots of zeroes. On the scale of little things, that's many zeros longer because their life cycles run quicker. Would these mutations not have already happened, based on their own math? Yes, it's been shown on the big CPUs that they would have. But they have not survived because they don't naturally fit into the scheme of things.

This is covering up for what's really happening. Man is trying to force things it wants unnaturally into the scheme, and is frustrated that it's taken so long (because their hubris really makes them think they're in charge), but still trying to make genetic bioweapons they can target groups with specifically.
