still ongoing in Appeals Court. this story is simply about Supreme Court refusing to take over jurisdiction from Appeals Court, or so I believe that's the story

Yup, nothing out of the ordinary or wrong. They again asked to fast-track it to the SC (because it'll end up there eventually anyway) because of the importance of rectifying the situation asap.
